About Me

Hi, my name is Leigh. Thank you for visiting my website!  

Creativity has always been my passion - whether gardening, journaling, painting, writing, or cooking.  Through the process of creating, I find myself.  When there are no words that adequately reflect the thoughts of my soul, I paint.   When my brushstrokes fail to render a resemblance of my emotions, I write—filling in the spaces, enhancing the interpretation of the painting. My artwork intertwines with the reflections of my heart, bringing both art and soul to my narrative.

When I  paint alone in my studio, I often feel as if I’m in a conversation with  myself and with God. It’s therapy, a process of discovery, a teaching, or simply a time to recharge or wake up my passion. When I write in the early hours of daybreak, I am journaling my feelings, thoughts, reactions to scripture, prayers and dreams.  It feels honest and often inspires ideas for future paintings.

I treasure my time with my friends and family. My husband JD and I have three adult kids (who each have wonderful partners!),  five adorable grandchildren, and a dog named Tucker. We love retirement and make our home in Tacoma Washington.
